About Us
For 10 years, Karingal Independent Floors has been supplying and installing a vast range of product to the building trade and retail clients throughout the Central and Western Victorian region. Our range of product is very comprehensive and equal in quality with range to showrooms and suppliers throughout the Melbourne Metropolitan area and surpasses most showrooms in country Victoria.
We are able to supply a vast range of Nylon and Wool Carpets in the latest textures and colors available. We also install these carpets on the best quality underlays by our own fully qualified staff.
Karingal Independent Floors sources overseas suppliers for our Unique range of Ceramic Floor and Wall Tiles – a range not available to many retail outlets. Once again, colors, textures, sizes, shapes – a vast array to give a home a truly unique look.
We are also able to supply a superb range of Timber and Laminate Floating Floors to compliment any décor. Light timber finishes to compliment the modern minimilistic look through to more traditional dark timbers that ‘formalize’ a room.
Vinyl is currently going through resurgence and the colors and textures now available are amazing! Polished Concrete looks through to Checkerplate – very up beat!
Window Furnishings are another product available through our showroom – Wooden Venetians in a huge range of finishes, Holland Rod Roller Blinds, Sunscreen Blinds, Roman Blinds, Reed and Bamboo Blinds, Metal Venetians, Pleated Blinds – we can advise any client on the most suitable blinds for their windows.
We also have on staff a qualified interior decorator, who can assist clients with advice on any of our products either in-store or on site – a great help to many people who are building and can’t envisage the ‘completed picture.’

About Independent Floors Group
For over twenty years now we've been selecting independent carpet retailers around Australia to become members of ICR, the Independent Carpet Retailers group.
It all began back in 1981 when ten retailers were invited to attend the very first meeting of the ICR group with the thought that 10 stores would have more buying power than one. Now at over 100 stores nationally and some hundreds of meetings later, ICR is still going strong and is one of the largest buying groups in Australia. Even with the growth in store fronts we have still managed to maintain our policy in providing our customers with competitive prices, expert advice, one on one customer courtesy, exceptional quality in all of our stocked products and only the finest installation.
Recently we have changed our name to Independent Floors and are now moving from a large independent buying group to a nationally recognised retail chain. This move is to reflect our size and our range of carpets, tiles, floating floors and vinyl products. We still maintain the initial values that were an integral part of the original coming together of the ICR group.
